Be | Shaping the Future Poland, part of the Engineering Group, is seeking a Junior Firewall Specialist to help protect a large network environment. You will review requests, plan policy implementations, and configure Fortinet and Check Point firewalls while working remotely from Poland.

We value 2–3 years of firewall or network security experience, solid networking knowledge, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

Junior Firewall Specialist (Network Security / Firewall Policy Management)

We’re looking for a Junior Firewall Specialist to help protect a large network environment of several thousand components, segmented by firewalls, working fully remotely from Poland. In this role, you will focus on reviewing communication requests, planning policy implementations, routing and NAT planning, configuring Fortinet and Check Point firewalls, and supporting customers with their questions.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming communication requests and assess how to implement them
• Plan implementations, from simple policy changes to routing and NAT planning
• Implement communication requests on Fortinet and Check Point firewalls in line with current guidelines
• Manage firewall policies that protect the individual segments of the network
• Check your own changes carefully to keep errors to an absolute minimum
• Advise internal and external customers on their questions
• Support the wider firewall team with day-to-day tasks
• Document implemented changes in line with internal standards

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience working with firewalls or network security
• Good networking knowledge, including routing and NAT
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet and Check Point firewalls
• High standards for the quality of your work and a careful, detail-oriented approach
• Experience working with internal and external customers
• Good communication skills in English
• Openness to taking part in on-call duty

Nice to have

• Experience in a regulated banking environment
• An associate-level Fortinet or Check Point certification (e.g., Fortinet FCP, Check Point CCSA)
