Job summary

Be | Shaping the Future Poland is seeking a network security engineer to drive updates and firewall management for banking environments. You will plan technical updates, prepare changes, and present them to Change Advisory Boards as needed, then execute and review the updates while handling firewall tasks.

The ideal candidate has expert knowledge of networks, Fortinet and Checkpoint, and hands-on experience with GitLab and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Excellent network knowledge.
• Very good knowledge of Fortinet and Checkpoint.
• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible.
• High standards for quality; believes every error is one too many.
• Experience working with internal and external customers.
• Experience in regulated banking environments is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on-call regularly (evenings and weekends).
• German knowledge is a plus.

• If necessary, presenting the activities in various Change Advisory Boards
• Executing and reviewing updates
• Carrying out firewall-related tasks (e.g., rule creation and deletions)

Requirements:

• Excellent network knowledge
• Very good knowledge of Fortinet and Checkpoint
• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible
• High expectations regarding the quality of one’s own work, with the attitude that every error is one too many
• Experience in working with internal and external customers
• Experience in regulated banking environments is an advantage
• Willingness to regularly work on-call (evenings and weekends)
• German knowledge is a plus
