Job summary

Tieto in Poland is seeking an embedded C engineer to support 5G/LTE software on a proprietary hardware platform. You will work on PHY, MAC, and RLC layers, analyze trouble reports, and coordinate with the R&D team to implement fixes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of LTE or 5G protocols (Uu interface) and PHY/MAC/RLC
• Understanding of UE attach procedures
• Troubleshooting experience for 4G/5G networks
• Ability to read C code and navigate Linux environments
• Proactive and collaborative in a software/telecommunications team
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

• Maintain embedded software in C for the DU hardware platform.
• Classify issues after Trouble Reports and coordinate with R&D for fixes.
• Support Tier 3 and assist other teams, including testers and labs.
• Use scripts to analyze large data sets and improve troubleshooting workflows.
