Job summary

BOS Group in Katowice, Poland, is seeking an engineering professional to create and update 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5, and to manage engineering documentation within PDM/PLM systems.

The role involves applying GD&T, supporting automotive component development, and coordinating ECOs with cross-functional teams. A mechanical/automotive engineering background and CATIA V5 proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• CATIA V5 knowledge for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• CATIA V5 practical experience.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models and 2D technical drawings in CATIA V5 according to company and customer standards.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in PDM/PLM systems.
• Support design and development activities for automotive components and assemblies.
• Apply dimensional and geometric tolerances (GD&T) in technical documentation.
• Implement engineering changes (ECOs) and update bills of materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve technical solutions.
• Support prototype and sample build activities.
• Contribute to product improvement and continuous development projects.

Profile

• Technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree, Technician, or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• CATIA V5 practical experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
