Talan is seeking a Junior Calypso Developer in Wroclaw, Poland, to grow in Capital Markets technology and work on Calypso environments.

You will join a new team focused on supporting and enhancing the Calypso platform, mentored by experienced consultants and developers, with exposure to Java and investment banking processes.

Relocation is welcome, and there is potential for future internalization with the client after a successful period in the role.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional software development experience.
• 2 years of hands-on Java experience.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Junior Calypso Developer who wants to build a career within Capital Markets technology and gain hands‑on experience working on one of the most widely used trading and risk management platforms in the financial industry.

You will join a newly established team responsible for supporting and enhancing a critical Calypso environment while learning from experienced consultants and developers.

This role is ideal for someone looking to combine a technical Java background with exposure to investment banking and financial markets.

Additionally, there may be the possibility of future internalization with the client after a successful period in the role.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance activities within Calypso.
• Assist senior developers in implementing enhancements and fixes.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues under mentorship.
• Work with SQL databases and existing integrations.
• Learn Capital Markets processes and Calypso architecture.

Qualifications

Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional experience in software development.
• 2 years of experience working with Java.
• Strong willingness to learn Calypso and Capital Markets technologies.
• Problem-solving mindset.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to financial systems or banking projects.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix.
• Internship or academic projects related to financial technology
