Job summary

Talan in Wroclaw, Poland, is seeking a Calypso Business Analyst/Functional Analyst to join a newly formed team supporting the capital markets ecosystem of a major European banking client. • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Experience working with the Calypso platform.
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements.
• Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, or Operations workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Calypso Business Analyst/ Functional Analyst to join a newly established team supporting the Capital Markets ecosystem of a major European banking institution.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a strategic initiative aimed at building a brand-new team from the ground up. The team will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and evolving critical Capital Markets operations and systems, with a strong focus on the Calypso platform.

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate business requirements into functional solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of trading, risk, and post-trade processes.

The positionoffers long-term stability, exposure to complex financial products, and the possibility of future internalization with the end client after a successful collaboration period.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Previous demonstrated experience working with the Calypso platform.
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements.
• Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, or Operations workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency

Nice to Have

• Exposure to derivatives, fixed income, FX, equities, or money markets.
• Understanding of SQL and data analysis.
• Experience working in investment banking environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Previous involvement in Calypso implementation, migration, or upgrade projects.
