Job summary

541 Cisco Systems Poland sp. Z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a Junior Software Engineer for the Platform Identity team to design and build identity services that support authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.

You will work with senior engineers to implement secure and scalable features, and gain hands-on experience with IAM technologies and identity protocols in a collaborative, growth‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• Academic or early professional experience in software development.
• Basic understanding of authentication or authorization concepts (SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0 are a plus).
• Fundamental programming skills in C++ and/or Go.
• Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, networking basics).
• Eagerness to learn secure, distributed systems and identity technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve identity services that support authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement secure and scalable features.
• Learn and apply best practices in distributed systems.
• Explore identity protocols and contribute to API development.
