Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Katowice, Poland is seeking a Junior Buyer/Expeditor to join our global procurement team. You will support offices worldwide from our Katowice office, reporting to the Project Management & Construction Delivery, Procurement group. The role offers a Summer 2027 start for a recent graduate.

You will coordinate expediting activities, liaise with vendors and clients, and help ensure timely project deliveries while adhering to project execution plans.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027/2028 or recent graduate in Supply Chain or related field
• Knowledge of procurement, logistics and supply chain operations in a technical/engineering environment
• Strong communication and vendor management skills
• Familiarity with ISO 9000/ISO 19011 is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform purchasing activities in accordance with procedures
• Expedite project equipment/materials as per expediting plan
• Ensure data for reporting is complete and accurate
• Coordinate packing lists and delivery documentation including export docs
• Interface with client and project members on expediting issues
• Coordinate with vendors to maintain project schedules
• Manage Change orders and monitor vendor schedules
• Handover to logistics per Incoterms on the PO

Hatch is seeking a dynamicJunior Buyer/Expeditor new graduate (start date Summer 2027). Reporting to theProject Management & Construction Delivery, Procurementgroup, you will support offices globally working from ourKatowice, Poland office location.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• Responsible for performing the purchasing activities in accordance with purchasing procedures
• Expedites all project equipment/materials in accordance with the expediting plan
• Ensure that the data for reporting is complete and accurate
• Coordination of information relating to packing lists and delivery documentation including any documentation required for export purposes
• Ensure all relevant release documentation is issued as per the Project Execution Plan
• Interface with client and project members regarding expediting issues
• Coordination and communication with vendors and internal disciplines using iPas MP or other forms of reporting to maintain project schedules and prevent any delays
• Management of Change orders.
• Monitor vendor engineering and manufacturing schedules to ensure schedule is maintained and pro-actively manage any possible delays
• Coordinates with Quality surveillance to ensure the scheduled inspections are performed timely
• Handover to logistics to facilitate delivery as per the purchase order pending on Incoterms conditions specified in the purchase order

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards graduating in 2027/2028, or recently graduated, with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics), with knowledge of procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations within a technical/engineering environment.
• A degree of technical aptitude and familiarity with various materials, fabrication processes and supply items
• Elementary knowledge of preservation and packaging procedures
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 19011
• Multi-discipline knowledge/awareness
• Proven track record in a similar position
• Communication skills – writing reports, presenting and leading vendor meetings
• Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
