Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Junior Buyer/Expeditor for our Katowice, Poland office. This entry-level role supports the Project Management & Construction Delivery, Procurement group and collaborates with offices globally.

The candidate will handle purchasing activities, expediting, and documentation in a technical environment. Ideal graduates will be working toward or have recently completed a bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management or related field, with familiarity in procurement, logistics and ISO

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline with knowledge of procurement, logistics and supply chain operations in a technical/engineering environment.
Technical aptitude and familiarity with materials, fabrication processes and supply items.
Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 19011.
Experience in a similar role and ability to lead vendor meetings.

Responsibilities

Perform purchasing activities per procedures and expediting plan.
Expedite project equipment/materials and ensure complete data for reporting.
Coordinate packing lists, delivery documentation and export paperwork as required.
Release documentation per Project Execution Plan and liaise with clients and project teams.
Maintain schedules with vendors and internal teams to prevent delays.
Manage change orders and monitor vendor engineering/manufacturing timelines.
Coordinate with Quality surveillance for timely inspections and handover to logistics.
