Hatch is seeking a Junior Buyer/Expeditor for our Katowice, Poland office. This entry-level role supports the Project Management & Construction Delivery, Procurement group and collaborates with offices globally.

The candidate will handle purchasing activities, expediting, and documentation in a technical environment. Ideal graduates will be working toward or have recently completed a bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management or related field, with familiarity in procurement, logistics and ISO

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline with knowledge of procurement, logistics and supply chain operations in a technical/engineering environment.
• Technical aptitude and familiarity with materials, fabrication processes and supply items.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 19011.
• Experience in a similar role and ability to lead vendor meetings.

• Perform purchasing activities per procedures and expediting plan.
• Expedite project equipment/materials and ensure complete data for reporting.
• Coordinate packing lists, delivery documentation and export paperwork as required.
• Release documentation per Project Execution Plan and liaise with clients and project teams.
• Maintain schedules with vendors and internal teams to prevent delays.
• Manage change orders and monitor vendor engineering/manufacturing timelines.
• Coordinate with Quality surveillance for timely inspections and handover to logistics.

Hatch is seeking a dynamicJunior Buyer/Expeditor new graduate (start date Summer 2027). Reporting to theProject Management & Construction Delivery, Procurementgroup, you will support offices globally working from ourKatowice, Poland office location.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• Responsible for performing the purchasing activities in accordance with purchasing procedures
• Expedites all project equipment/materials in accordance with the expediting plan
• Ensure that the data for reporting is complete and accurate
• Coordination of information relating to packing lists and delivery documentation including any documentation required for export purposes
• Ensure all relevant release documentation is issued as per the Project Execution Plan
• Interface with client and project members regarding expediting issues
• Coordination and communication with vendors and internal disciplines using iPas MP or other forms of reporting to maintain project schedules and prevent any delays
• Management of Change orders.
• Monitor vendor engineering and manufacturing schedules to ensure schedule is maintained and pro-actively manage any possible delays
• Coordinates with Quality surveillance to ensure the scheduled inspections are performed timely
• Handover to logistics to facilitate delivery as per the purchase order pending on Incoterms conditions specified in the purchase order

Qualifications:

• Must be working towards graduating in 2027/2028, or recently graduated, with a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline (Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics), with knowledge of procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations within a technical/engineering environment.
• A degree of technical aptitude and familiarity with various materials, fabrication processes and supply items
• Elementary knowledge of preservation and packaging procedures
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 19011
• Multi-discipline knowledge/awareness
• Proven track record in a similar position
• Communication skills – writing reports, presenting and leading vendor meetings
• Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutions
