Job summary

Sperasoft is seeking a Build and Release Engineer in Kraków to improve build and deployment pipelines for games and tools. You will collaborate with Engineering and QA to advance build processes, ensure reliability, and contribute to platform tools. The role includes hands-on game development duties as needed.

The position focuses on CI, deployment, and pipeline optimization, with a strong emphasis on reducing downtime and improving efficiency across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in programming and debugging in C++.
• Strong computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OS).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Perforce, Git, SVN).
• Familiarity with Gradle or XCode.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good written English skills.
• Self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic.
• Inspired to make everyone's job easier by improving team efficiency and removing technical barriers.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve development pipelines used for game development (CI, build verification, deployment, performance, stability).
• Analyze build system performance, troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues with engineering teams.
• Keep build tools up to date and coordinate updates with other teams.
• Review proposed solutions and code written by peers.
• Update pipeline documentation and configuration guides.
• Ensure efficiency and maintainability of the build system.
• Maintain and extend platform tools.
• Hands-on contribution to game development as a secondary role.
