Job summary

Ignitis Renewables in Warsaw is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the finance team and manage daily accounting documents and transactions. The role supports the financial close, reconciliations, and reporting in a growing renewable energy business.

The ideal candidate has a degree in finance or accounting, solid knowledge of Polish and English, and proficient use of MS Office and accounting software. A hybrid work model and learning opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting and understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in English and Polish (written and spoken) is essential.
• Competent in MS Office programs and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Issuing sales invoices and managing accounting documents.
• Recording and managing purchase invoices, service invoices, and inventories, with debt reconciliations.
• Recording payment transfers, business card payments, and bank receipts/payments; ensuring accurate entries.
• Maintaining and recording other accounting transactions and document workflow.

We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Warsaw, where you’ll be responsible for management of accounting documents and record-keeping of various accounting transactions. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to secure and green energy ecosystem creation by:

• Issuing sales invoices and managing accounting documents, ensuring accurate record-keeping of accounting transactions;
• Recording and managing purchase invoices, service invoices, and inventories within the accounting system, while performing reconciliation of debts and other general accounting operations;
• Recording payment transfers, business card payments, and systemizing bank receipts/payments, ensuring they are accurately recorded in the accounting system;
• Maintaining and recording various other accounting transactions as required, and managing the workflow of financial documents.

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Final-year students are also welcome;
• Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices;
• Proficiency in English (B1/B2 level) and Polish, both verbal and written, is essential;
• Competent in using MS Office programs, with a particular focus on Excel and accounting software;
