Job summary

Hiab is seeking a Junior Accountant in Poland to support end-to-end document processing and handle invoices across various tax rates. You will assist with travel and employee expenses, and help manage accounts payable under the supervision of the Chief Accountant.

The role offers a 1.5-year fixed-term contract within a dynamic, international manufacturing environment, with a focus on practical learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary education (a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics is an advantage).
• About 1 year of introductory accounting experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office.
• Communicative English skills (both written and spoken).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, dependability, and an eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Posting, coding, and verifying diverse invoices and operating the ERP and electronic document flow systems.
• Settling business travel expenses, company expenditures, and employee settlements.
• Monitoring accounts payable, tracking payments, and resolving balance discrepancies with vendors.
• Supporting the Chief Accountant with reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger and assisting during inventory counts.
• Preparing routine accounting analyses and reports, including monitoring the status of unposted invoices.
• Archiving documentation and collaborating with other departments to maintain efficient document workflow.
