Job summary

Hiab in Stargard, Poland, seeks a Quality Manager to drive product integrity and quality culture across the facility. You will lead daily quality operations, optimize processes, and guide a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Higher education degree in Quality Management or Engineering.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing quality department (automotive or heavy machinery preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, problem-solving tools.
• Internal Auditor certificate is an advantage.
• Strong leadership in dynamic, matrixed international organizations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily Quality operations, set team targets, manage PDP paths, and oversee the departmental budget.
• Supervise and document integrated systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EHS requirements.
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across assembly lines to maximize First Pass Yield.
• Identify systemic root causes to decrease warranty claims and TCOPQ.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Production, and global stakeholders to ensure rigorous supplier quality and smooth new-line industrialization.
• Exercise full operational authority to halt non-conforming parts, assemblies, or finished products to ensure peak customer satisfaction.

As a Quality Manager, you will serve as the strategic driver of product integrity and quality culture across the facility. Reporting directly to site leadership, your core mission is to foster quality awareness across all levels, optimize manufacturing processes, and systematically reduce the Total Cost of Poor Quality and warranty claims. In this pioneering, high-visibility role, you will navigate cross-cultural, dynamic projects - including new production transfers - while maintaining robust compliance across our integrated management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily Quality operations, set team targets, manage PDP development paths, and oversee the departmental budget
• Supervise, document, and continuously improve integrated systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EHS requirements
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across assembly lines to maximize First Pass Yield
• Identify systemic root causes to aggressively decrease warranty claims and the Total Cost of Poor Quality (TCOPQ)
• Collaborate closely with Sourcing, Production, and global stakeholders to ensure rigorous supplier quality and smooth new-line industrialization
• Exercise full operational authority to halt non-conforming parts, assemblies, or finished products to ensure peak customer satisfaction.

What We Are Looking For

• Higher education degree (preferably in Quality Management or Engineering) with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing quality department (automotive or heavy machinery preferred)
• Strong, working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management standards
• Solid theoretical and practical foundation in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated proficiency in structured problem-solving tools
• Strong leadership and change-management skills suited for dynamic, matrixed international organizations; an Internal Auditor certificate is an advantage.
