Job summary

BEC Financial Technologies in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Document Generation team and help replace legacy systems with a modern SaaS platform.

You will design APIs and microservices using Java 21+, Spring Boot, and Maven, containerized on OpenShift/Kubernetes, and develop event-driven components with Kafka. Occasional travel to Roskilde, Denmark is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' hands-on experience with modern Java, REST, Spring Boot, and Maven.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven microservices.
• Experience integrating COTS/SaaS into mainframe/distributed environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs and microservices in Java 21+ with Spring Boot, REST, and Maven, containerized on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Develop event-driven components using Kafka and follow microservice and EDA best practices.
• Integrate a commercial SaaS archiving solution with existing BEC systems across mainframe and distributed applications.
• Collaborate in an agile team using Jira, Git, ServiceNow and Confluence.
• Work closely with business architects and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure solutions.
• Occasional travel to Roskilde, Denmark to meet teammates.
