Job summary

BEC Financial Technologies in Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java) to join a cross‑functional team delivering modern mortgage solutions for the Danish market. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices.

You will collaborate with Angular developers, participate in workshops, and own the full SDLC, from analysis to production support, while driving standards and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
• Strong experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems with microservice patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Strong understanding of software design principles, clean code, and domain‑driven design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business‑critical mortgage backend services.
• Build scalable REST APIs and integrations supporting digital mortgage journeys.
• Drive modernization from legacy solutions to microservice‑based architecture.
• Participate in feature workshops and solution design with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Angular developers to deliver end‑to‑end experiences.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from analysis to production support.
• Improve platform stability, observability, performance, and operations.
• Drive architectural improvements and engineering standards.
