Job summary

Capgemini is hiring a Java-based backend developer to design, implement, and modernize critical business applications in public services. You will work with Spring/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes, shaping features with input from architects and product teams.

You’ll collaborate in agile, international environments, leveraging GenAI tools to boost development efficiency and code quality, with a flexible hybrid work model and strong emphasis on responsible engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience with Java/JVM-based technologies.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven and Git.
• Ability to write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Experience with relational (MS SQL/Oracle) or non-relational (Redis/MongoDB) databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement backend applications using Java and JVM technologies.
• Create solutions following Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, and DDD practices.
• Integrate applications with components in Kubernetes environments.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Collaborate in agile, international teams and share best practices.
