Virtusa is seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development and maintenance of high-performance backend systems. You will collaborate with architects to ensure scalable and secure solutions and embrace Generative AI tools to boost innovation.

Responsibilities include building robust apps with Java 17+ and Spring Boot, optimizing PostgreSQL, and driving DevOps automation with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm. You’ll mentor peers and thrive in Agile/Scrum environments.

Senior Java Developer

Role Overview

As a Senior Java Developer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend systems. You’ll collaborate with architects and developers to ensure solutions are scalable and secure. We promote Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot to boost innovation.

• Backend: Build robust apps using Java 17+ and Spring Boot; optimize PostgreSQL.
• System & DevOps: Automate with Bash/Shell; deploy via Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Leadership: Mentor developers, lead design discussions, and excel in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
• Cloud-native development, Maven, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing frameworks: JUnit, AssertJ, and Hamcrest.
• Effective communication in English (B2/C1).

Nice-to-Have

Qualifications
