Job summary

Capgemini Polska is hiring an experienced Java developer to design, build and maintain Java-based applications supporting public sector processes. You will work with Spring, Hibernate and Kubernetes in a modern CI/CD environment, shaping solutions with architects and product teams in cross‑functional, international groups.

Qualifications

• Technical degree and solid foundations in software engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Java/JVM-based technologies.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Git, Kubernetes
• Ability to write unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) and work with microservice-oriented architectures.
• Experience with relational (MS SQL/Oracle) or non-relational (Redis/MongoDB) databases.
• Practical experience with CI/CD and version control systems.
• Communicative English and German (min. B1).
• Nice to have: experience in tech lead role.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and implementing backend applications using Java and modern JVM technologies.
• Creating solutions based on good engineering practices (Clean Code, SOLID, TDD, DDD).
• Integrating applications with components deployed in Kubernetes environments.
• Maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Working in agile, international teams and contributing to shared best practices.
• Participating in architecture design and code reviews.
• Supporting less-experienced engineers and sharing knowledge within the team.
