IT Solution Architect
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and keeping IT system architectures for our clients up to date, using CloudFerro's product portfolio.
- Collaborating with clients, Project Managers, Product Managers and technical team leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Designing end-to-end solution architectures that meet client requirements and CloudFerro's internal standards.
- Breaking down designed systems into smaller components and aligning the required changes and extensions to existing products.
- Aligning, communicating and explaining architecture and technical aspects of the scope of work to clients and internal technical teams.
- Defining the technical scope and delivery approach for subcontractors.
- Answering technical questions related to architecture and making architectural decisions.
- Coordinating, supervising and technically validating work delivered by subcontractors.
- Delivering or coordinating cross-team technical tasks, such as designing environments or planning multi-product deployments.
- Providing architectural support throughout the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance phases of client solutions.
- Maintaining technical project documentation and coordinating the preparation of required documentation by technical teams.
- Working with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, including technical tasks, effort estimates and dependencies.
- Providing technical oversight of project progress.Identifying and managing technical risks.
- Contributing to the preparation of proposals.
- Supporting effort and cost estimation for project budgeting purposes.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of CloudFerro's solutions and technology trends in order to advise clients and select the most appropriate solutions for their needs.
Required qualifications:
- A technical degree or equivalent education in computer science, electronics, telecommunications or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT in an architect role, particularly in the area of infrastructure.
- Experience working directly with clients.The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- A good understanding of cloud computing.Knowledge of design patterns or hands-on experience designing distributed processing systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, teamwork, openness to change, independence, reliability, efficiency, creativity and patience.
- Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals.Knowledge of IT architecture documentation standards, particularly the C4 model.
- Strong attention to standards and best practices.
- The ability to design and document scalable, secure and high-performance solutions.
- The ability to define technical tasks for external teams.Experience working with IT specialists across different domains and technologies.
- Willingness to share your knowledge and experience.An understanding of a product-oriented approach.
- Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
- A strong focus on quality and timely delivery.
- The ability to present complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Very good English skills, allowing you to communicate effectively with clients and partners and to read and create system and technical documentation (minimum B2/C1 level).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OpenStack and Ceph.
- Experience working on international projects.
- Experience working on large-scale, high-value projects.
- Experience collaborating with teams using agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of the Earth Observation sector, including satellite data acquisition and processing.

At the PMO, we deliver projects for external and internal clients. We coordinate project work and define standards, rules for the creation and management of project documentation. We coordinate activities to achieve the objectives of our projects. We prepare project assumptions, plan, delegate tasks, monitor the scope of the schedule and project budget.
