Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced IS Project Manager to lead end-to-end projects, primarily in the Finance domain. You will coordinate across Finance, IT, and external vendors, manage multiple initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals.

The role requires effective stakeholder management, strong communication, and the ability to operate in a hybrid work environment. Experience with SAP and PM certifications are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT or Finance environments.
• Experience working with SAP systems or supporting SAP-related projects.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end project management phases and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead delivery from start to finish.
• Experience managing multiple projects in parallel with shifting priorities.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills across different functions and cultures.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Project Management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is a plus.

Your Role And Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced IS Project Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end projects, primarily within the Finance domain. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple initiatives while acting as the key point of contact across business and technical teams.

The position requires effective stakeholder management, as the Project Manager will represent the full project team and ensure alignment across diverse groups.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing the full lifecycle from planning to execution.
• Act as the main point of contact and spokesperson across Finance, IT, and external vendors.
• Manage and align stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and expectations across all groups.
• Manage project progress, including regular monitoring, reporting, and monthly health checks.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support the delivery of new initiatives, including transformation and AI-related finance projects.
• Facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and resolve conflicts in a professional and diplomatic way.
• Work in a varied, changing environment consisting of several solutions based on different technologies.
• Coordinate activities across multiple teams and external vendors to ensure project delivery and alignment of priorities.
• Deliver outcomes through effective stakeholder management, negotiation skills.

Qualifications For The Role

• University Degree in Computer Science (optional), Finance or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in project management, preferably in IT or Finance environments.
• Experience working with SAP systems or supporting SAP-related projects.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end project management phases and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead delivery from start to finish.
• Experience managing multiple projects in parallel with shifting priorities.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills across different functions and cultures.
• Solid organizational, prioritization and coordination skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build alignment, negotiate priorities and deliver outcomes in a matrix organization without direct authority.
• Results-driven, structured, and able to work when deadlines are tight while maintaining a diplomatic approach.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Project Management certification (such as PMP or PRINCE2) is a plus.
