Job summary

ELEKS Quality Assurance Office in Poland is seeking a Middle Test Engineer to join our client-facing QA team. You will plan, design and run tests on desktop applications and client-server systems, document results, and contribute to quality improvements across projects.

The role requires hands-on testing, familiarity with Jira and Agile, basic Python, and an ability to work with Windows and virtualization tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing client-server architectures and desktop applications.
• Strong experience with Jira and Agile development practices.
• Basic Python knowledge is a plus; good knowledge of network protocols.
• Windows usage and administration experience.
• Familiarity with virtualization tools and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute tests at all levels and document deviations.
• Use test administration, monitoring, and management tools.
• Assist in setting up test environments and acquiring test data.
• Contribute to test documentation (test plans, test cases).
• Review requirements to translate into quality artefacts and validate test outputs.

Our client is one of the largest insurance brokers in the world, working in the Insurance business domain and providing risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and investment banking solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good understanding and experience in testing of client-server architecture
• Experience and strong skills in desktop app manual testing
• Work experience with Jira
• Work experience with Agile
• Basic Python knowledge would be a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and execute tests at all planned levels, log and evaluate results and document deviations from the expected results.
• Use tests administration, monitoring, and management tools.
• Participate in test environment setup.
• Prepare and acquire test data.
• Contribute to test documentation creation/validation/update process (test cases, test plan, etc.).
• Review, analyse and assess project requirements and specifications to convert them into quality control process artefacts.
• Review test artefacts developed by others.
• Communicate with other Team Members
• Report Test Progress to Stakeholders
