Job summary

Vention is seeking an experienced software engineer to build reliable, scalable web applications in Gdansk. You will own major parts of the lifecycle with Django/FastAPI, AWS, and modern microservices patterns, driving quality and maintainability.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment, participate in design discussions, and help advance AI-assisted coding workflows. English at B2+ is expected, with opportunities for dev2dev and internal tech talks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on web development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and asynchronous programming (Asyncio).
• Deep experience with Django and/or FastAPI frameworks.
• Practical cloud experience with AWS.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development at enterprise scale.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• English knowledge at B2 level or higher.
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems is a plus.
• End-to-end feature implementation using TypeScript/React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop reliable, scalable solutions with production-ready code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle and architecture.
• Engage in Scrum ceremonies, demos, and internal talks.
• Contribute to estimation, planning, and roadmap discussions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Support CI integration and adoption of new tech best practices.
• Optionally mentor team members and participate in technical interviews.
