Vention, a global engineering partner, seeks a software developer with strong Ruby skills in Gdansk. You will contribute to scalable, production-ready code and participate in the full SDLC, collaborating in Scrum ceremonies and knowledge-sharing sessions.

The role emphasizes frontend tech (HTML/CSS/TypeScript/Vue/React), testing with RSpec/Cucumber, English communication with clients, and exposure to cloud platforms like Azure/AWS/GCP. Hybrid working in Poland offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with Ruby.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB databases.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Vue.js or React.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as RSpec and Cucumber.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with client communication experience.
• Experience with AI tools for agentic development.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of scalable solutions with a focus on high-quality, production-ready code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including business logic and feature implementation.
• Collaborate with your team through demos, Scrum ceremonies, and internal knowledge-sharing events.
• Support project estimation and planning to align development efforts with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews and write automated tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
• Work on continuous technology integration to keep the product and stack up to date.
• Optionally mentor or participate in technical interviews or dev meetups.
