Job summary

LyondellBasell's Digital Technologies team seeks a Senior/Principal Data Engineer in Poznań to design and deliver scalable data pipelines for ML solutions and analytics. You will partner with data scientists, software engineers, and process experts to implement robust data workflows and maintain best-in-class engineering practices.

You will contribute to predictive maintenance, forecasting, real-time analytics, and optimization efforts while promoting digital transformation and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

• MS degree preferred; PhD preferred.
• 11+ years of software development experience with MS, or 13+ years with BS.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL/Graph and NewSQL databases; strong programming in C#, C++, Julia or Scala.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of scalable data engineering pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to build data-driven solutions.
• Ensure architecture, security, testing, and coding standards across DT projects.
• Develop data workflows for ML deployment including predictive maintenance and forecasting.
• Mentor peers and promote digital transformation and capability growth across teams.
