Job summary

Vention, a global engineering partner, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Lodz, Poland. You will build and maintain scalable data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and design cloud-native architectures to support analytics and ML use cases.

You’ll work with Python, SQL, and Spark in distributed environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setup. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong Spark/PySpark experience.
• Hands-on with AWS or Azure.
• Experience with data lakes and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using cloud platforms
• Integrate and manage diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, reliability, and accessibility for analytics and ML use cases
• Design and maintain cloud-native data architectures (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse) that scale with business needs
• Develop data processing solutions using Spark / PySpark in distributed environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient, scalable data solutions
• Support analytics use cases by enabling data consumption for reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools
• Stay up to date with modern data platform technologies and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement of the data ecosystem
