Job summary

LyondellBasell’s Digital Technologies organization seeks a Data Integration Engineer I to build scalable data pipelines and integration services. You will partner with data scientists, engineers, and SMEs to deliver data-driven solutions across analytics platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration, cloud tooling, and robust engineering practices, with a hybrid schedule including remote days and in-person team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0+ years of hands-on data engineering or software development experience with a BS, MS or PhD.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT tools and data integration.
• Cloud data warehouses and data lakehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, BigQuery.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and data streaming technologies (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, Spark Streaming, Kinesis).
• Strong team collaboration, enthusiasm for data, and problem-solving skills.
• Programming with SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile concepts including CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Deliver data ingestion, integration, and engineering solutions for analytics at scale.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion and integration services on the data platform.
• Collaborate with software/data engineers and SMEs to provide data-driven solutions.
• Ensure proper architecture, security, exception handling, testing and coding standards.
• Implement internal process improvements for scalability, reliability, and data quality.
• Develop platforms and applications to provide data, BI, and information.
• Build relationships across teams to foster technology transfer and collaboration.
