Job summary

ComeOn Group in Katowice is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain near-real-time and batch data pipelines in a modern cloud environment. You will help fuel our data lake, regulatory reporting, analytics and ML initiatives, driving reliable data flows and quality.

You will own the development lifecycle, work closely with business and technical teams, and thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid workplace with generous remote days and a home office setup.

Qualifications

• Experienced data engineer with 3+ years in data integration & real time streaming
• Experience in streaming big datasets using Spark or similar
• Experience with AWS or GCP Cloud data processing solutions
• Experience in programming with Python or Scala/Java
• Excellent command of spoken English
• Keen attention to detail and data quality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment whilst interacting with a variety of different disciplines
• Proven ability to prioritise and deal with problems systematically and provide clear communications regarding the issues, resolution times and solutions

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reliable batch and streaming data pipelines in our modern cloud environment
• Implement cutting-edge data engineering best practices to guarantee the quality and consistency of our crucial data assets
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with data feeds, ensuring uninterrupted flow and availability
• Establish and maintain strong communication channels between business and technical teams regarding the strategic use of company data
• Full ownership of the development lifecycle and ability to work independently if necessary
