Job summary

Philips is seeking a Technical Consultant to perform standard technical implementation and support activities across healthcare IT environments. You will install, configure, test, maintain and document hardware and software solutions in line with defined designs.

You will work with Windows Server, SQL, JavaScript, HL7/DICOM knowledge, and travel up to 25% across Europe. The role emphasizes collaboration with project and customer teams, and flexibility with hybrid working and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Business or Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional IT experience.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server environments (Server 2019/2025).
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (preferably JavaScript).
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, ports, firewalls).
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Willing to travel across Europe up to 25% of time.
• Knowledge of HL7 and DICOM is a plus.
• Healthcare IT or medical imaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard technical implementation and support activities per defined procedures and designs.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and support hardware and software solutions.
• Build deployments, upgrades, activation and restoration; document technically.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate complex problems to experts as needed.
• Configure, test and validate HL7 interfaces for Radiology Informatics solutions.
• Support integration testing and documentation with Integration Specialists and customer IT teams.
• Follow configuration management, version control and Philips Excellence Process Framework.
