Job summary

Versigent is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist in Kraków to ensure compliance with OH&S laws and corporate standards. You will act as a trusted advisor for management and staff, conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, and oversee PPE programs in a dynamic, global work environment.

You will collaborate with occupational health physicians and regulators, drive preventive actions, and lead training initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree (or postgraduate) in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Valid qualifications for an H&S Specialist per local regs.
• Practical knowledge of OH&S legislation.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in English for international work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and internal standards.
• Advise management and employees on Health & Safety matters.
• Conduct workplace inspections, internal audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards, report non-conformities, and initiate corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, perform root-cause analyses, monitor follow-ups.
• Manage PPE ordering and issuance according to risk assessments.
• Maintain OH&S documentation in line with ISO 45001.
• Support audits and certification processes.
• Report OH&S KPIs and participate in corporate reporting.
• Deliver Health & Safety trainings and awareness programs.
• Coordinate with external bodies and health professionals.
• Promote a culture of zero accidents and injuries.

YOUR ROLE

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and internal corporate standards


• Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on Health & Safety matters


• Conduct workplace inspections, internal audits, and occupational risk assessments


• Identify hazards, report non-conformities, and initiate corrective and preventive actions


• Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, perform root cause analyses, and monitor follow-up actions


• Select, evaluate, order, and manage the issuance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with risk assessments and legal requirements


• Issue referrals for occupational medical examinations (pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work) and monitor their validity


• Maintain and supervise Health & Safety documentation in compliance with ISO 45001 requirements


• Support internal and external audits as well as certification and re-certification processes


• Report and analyze local and global Health & Safety KPIs in accordance with corporate reporting standards


• Deliver Health & Safety trainings and lead awareness and prevention programs


• Cooperate with occupational health physicians, external laboratories, regulatory authorities, and inspection bodies


• Actively promote a culture of "Zero accidents, Zero injuries"

YOUR BACKGROUND

• University degree or postgraduate studies in Occupational Health & Safety


• Valid qualifications for an H&S Specialist in accordance with local regulations


• Practical knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation


• Hands-on experience with ISO 45001 management systems


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities


• Proficiency in English, enabling work in an international environment
