Job summary

GE Group is seeking a Logistics Project Coordinator to manage end-to-end delivery of equipment within budget and timelines for multi-site turnkey projects. You will coordinate shipments, ensure compliance with trade rules, issue and track shipping documents, and optimize sourcing and cost with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or similar.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Turnkey project logistics knowledge.
• Knowledge of international trade rules (Incoterms, Customs…).
• Knowledge of grid solutions projects and equipment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to independently resolve issues with difficult suppliers.
• Strong scheduling/planning of large and complex projects.
• Experience with road, sea, air freight and multimodal.
• Dangerous goods handling.
• Heavy lifts and oversized loads.
• Industrial packing.
• Import/export procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of equipment to destination within the timescale defined by the Project team and in coordination with all stakeholders.
• Ensure shipping documents are issued and released in due course to meet delivery and payment dates.
• Ensure that international trade regulations and GE rules are fully respected before shipping.
• Inform Service Providers about EHS rules and ensure they are implemented.
• Ensure method statements for sensitive operations are issued and followed.
• Manage and approve invoices from local transportation companies.
• Follow logistics procedures, processes and use logistics tools.
• Monitor logistics risks and opportunities; report progress, costs and other data to the Project Procurement and Logistics Manager.
