Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Global Payroll Service Lead to define and govern the global Payroll service, ensuring compliant, accurate, timely and auditable payroll delivery across countries. You will own the governance framework, drive standardization, and partner with Transformation and SSC readiness teams to ensure payroll readiness and risk management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience across multi-country environments.
• Knowledge of payroll controls, statutory requirements, calendars and payment controls.
• Experience governing vendors, shared services, regions through clear service ownership.
• Ability to translate operational complexity into global standards and governance guardrails.
• Strong stakeholder management across HR, Finance, Tax, Treasury, IT and external providers.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the global Payroll service scope, service catalogue, critical process inventory and ownership model and validate that Payroll processes, country specifics, handover documents, operational dependencies and local deviations are captured before transition.
• Act as design authority for Payroll standards, controls, exception principles and decision rights during the lift-and-drop phase.
• Partner with Transformation and SSC readiness teams to confirm payroll readiness by country, provider, process and control area and review and elevate payroll risks that could impact employee pay, statutory compliance, finance posting, payment execution or audit evidence.
• Own the end-to-end global Payroll service on behalf of the Governance organization and govern SSC and vendor delivery against Payroll standards, service expectations, controls and agreed KPIs.
• Approve global Payroll process changes, local deviations and service model updates where governance approval is required.
• Maintain strategic roadmap for Payroll service evolution after stabilization and transformation start and provide expert input to acquisitions, country moves, vendor changes, system changes and regulatory impacts.
