Job summary

OLX seeks a mid-level Network Engineer to join the Global BIT Infrastructure team. You will own LAN/WAN design and operations across global office locations, ensuring high availability and secure access.

The role emphasizes automation, incident response, and collaboration with IT Operations, Security, and Engineering. You will work with Meraki, Cisco, and AWS networking; scripting in Python/PowerShell/Bash; and CI/CD tooling to continuously improve network reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on network engineering experience with enterprise office networks.
• Experience with Meraki and Cisco stack in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs/Spanning Tree, firewalls and routing.
• Scripting and automation proficiency (Python, PowerShell or Bash); Terraform/Ansible; AWS networking a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) and ITIL/ITSM tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling and low-code/no-code automation platforms.
• Able to troubleshoot complex issues and drive automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own design, implementation, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure globally.
• Manage security of network services, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot WiFi, VPN, and WAN issues; perform root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Monitor network health, identify threats, and lead incident response.
• Participate in change management; assess security and operational impact of changes.
• Ensure security compliance across devices and tools; propose remediation.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and project docs.
• Drive automation to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with IT Operations, Security, Infrastructure, and Engineering.
• Support on-call rotations and escalated network issues as needed.
