Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Category Manager to lead global/regional MRO procurement across EMEA, driving supplier relationships and strategic sourcing. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies, conduct RFPs, negotiate agreements, and monitor compliance with purchasing policies.

You will collaborate with Functional teams and Local Buyers to optimize bid projects, identify cost reductions, and align with operations and engineering roadmaps. Willingness to travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing for manufacturing/related services.
• At least 2 years in regional or global project management with proven results.
• Experience establishing contracts and monitoring performance to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for global/regional MRO procurement with stakeholders.
• Prepare annual category plans aligning regions and countries.
• Lead global/regional sourcing projects for critical categories.
• Identify cost reductions and cost avoidance through market insights.
• Collaborate with local buyers to optimize bid projects and align with roadmaps.
• Communicate with leadership on supplier performance and forward needs.
