Job summary

Hitachi Europe GmbH (Germany) is seeking a Lead Investigator to set and drive global corporate investigation standards across its worldwide businesses. You will design training programs for investigative teams and monitor progress, ensuring timely outcomes and clear reporting.

The role requires 10–15 years of investigative and compliance experience, with strong knowledge of GDPR, FCPA, and related frameworks. A collaboration across cultures and time zones is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business, law, or related field preferred.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or equivalent certification required.
• Deep knowledge of international compliance frameworks (FCPA, GDPR).
• Ability to design and deliver training programs and drive standardized investigative practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across cultures.
• Flexibility to work across time zones as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce global investigation standards.
• Design and deliver training programs for junior investigators across the conglomerate’s diverse business units.
• Conduct follow-ups on ongoing investigations, ensuring timely resolution and tracking cases.
• Analyze investigation outcomes, identify trends, and report risks to senior leadership and compliance teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert, advising on best practices and improvements to investigation approaches.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external regulators, and law enforcement to ensure comprehensive follow-through.
