Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an experienced engineer to coordinate the commissioning and testing of HVDC systems across Poland and abroad. You will execute and document advanced testing of Control & Protection hardware and software, and prepare detailed test procedures for C&P components.

The role involves coordination with factories and suppliers, global travel, and contributing to quality and continuous improvement throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable education.
• Experience in HVDC commissioning and testing is desirable.
• English proficiency; willingness to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technically flawless commissioning of HVDC systems on site and test HV primary components and secondary systems.
• Perform integration and functional testing of HVDC control technology in our test center in Germany.
• Execute and document Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of C&P hardware/software including Customer Acceptance Tests.
• Develop and prepare detailed testing procedures and verification documentation.
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate workshop tests (Factory Acceptance Tests) at sub-supplier facilities.
• Support quality, risk, and continuous improvement activities within the project lifecycle.
