Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Engineer to lead and support commissioning and service activities for HVDC and FACTS projects across Central Europe. The role requires up to 75% travel, a strong electrical or mechanical engineering background, and fluent Polish and English.

You will supervise on-site teams, coordinate offshore and onshore work, and ensure safety and quality in all activities.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering degree required; technician training beneficial.
• Significant on-site/field service experience with HV equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills across cultures and languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and service of HVDC and FACTS products in the field.
• Coordinate on- and offshore activities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams on FACTS/HVDC projects.
• Prepare on-site activity documentation and reports in coordination with project management.
• Be the point of contact for health and safety issues in area of responsibility.
• Attend on-site customer meetings as required.
