Job summary

Paymentology is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage end-to-end financial accounting across markets in a fast-paced, global payments environment. You will drive month-end close, prepare journals, and ensure accurate reporting while adhering to IFRS and local tax laws.

You will partner with Commercial Finance, Payroll, and Tax teams to maintain balance sheet integrity, support audits, and implement process improvements across markets. A Qualified Accountant with strong ERP skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS and tax compliance experience.
• Experience with statutory reporting and audits.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned markets, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
• Review and analyse profit and loss accounts and balance sheet movements.
• Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and local statutory requirements.
• Support the preparation of management reporting packages and financial analyses.
• Own and maintain balance sheet integrity through timely and accurate reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and unusual transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and governance requirements.
• Manage indirect tax compliance activities, including VAT/GST and other local tax filings.
• Support corporate income tax compliance, tax provisioning, and reporting requirements.
