About the role

The Global Control Tower (GCT) Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and enabling consistent global processes across Pontoon’s programs. This role establishes and maintains global frameworks, compliance and risk guardrails, governance standards, escalation mechanisms, and cross-program visibility to ensure scalable, compliant, and repeatable delivery without removing accountability from program teams. The GCT Lead acts as a centralized point of coordination, guidance, and oversight—equipping programs with the tools, standards, insights, and clarity needed to execute with confidence in a complex, multi-country environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Develop and maintain global governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and RACIs.
  • Define global escalation triggers, exception pathways, and governance guardrails.
  • Ensure alignment with Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs, and other global stakeholder groups.
  • Establish and maintain standardized definitions, templates, and playbooks used across programs.
  • Serve as the intake and translation point for global or multi-country regulatory and compliance changes.
  • Conduct cross-program risk assessments and ensure audit readiness standards are defined and followed.
  • Provide guidance on documentation requirements, evidence frameworks, and compliance materials.
  • Govern cross-program and high-impact program changes, ensuring consistent standards and structured execution.
  • Coordinate escalations that require global oversight, ensuring timely resolution and clear decision pathways.
  • Establish objective triggers for when GCT involvement is required across initiatives.
  • Define and maintain global VMS standards, configuration guidance, and best practices.
  • Evaluate regulatory- or compliance-driven technology changes and determine global impacts.
  • Coordinate global updates related to VMS or technology governance (business impact, readiness, change management).
  • Own and maintain global dashboards related to risk, audit readiness, and governance KPIs.
  • Provide standardized reporting, metrics, and leadership-level insights.
  • Ensure reporting consistency across programs while allowing for localized operational visibility.
  • Maintain centralized libraries, shared repositories, and cross-program playbooks.
  • Standardize global artifacts including QBR templates, SOPs, governance tools, and best practices.
  • Support quarterly readiness through standardized enablement materials and executive-quality insights.
  • Lead global or multi-program initiatives that originate from compliance, regulatory, risk, or governance triggers.
  • Ensure adherence to Pontoon’s Project Management framework for all GCT-owned initiatives.
  • Partner with program teams and SPMO to oversee global change initiatives and ensure alignment to standards.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
About you
  • 8+ years in governance, compliance, PMO, risk management, or global operations.
  • Experience leading global programs or cross-regional initiatives.
  • Strong project management expertise (SPMO experience a plus).
  • Familiarity with VMS technology, enterprise platforms, or regulated workforce programs (preferred).
  • Skilled in communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Deep understanding of audit, regulatory, or compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and executive reporting skills.
  • Experienced in managing complex, multi-country environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
