Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the API Operations team in Poland. You will own production incidents, monitor API health, and collaborate on observability, logging, and alerting practices to improve incident response.

Ideal candidates have strong Python and shell scripting skills, experience with Apigee APIs, and a background in cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) with excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production support, SRE, or DevOps, preferably with Apigee APIs.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and observability tools.
• Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and programming languages for automation and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and incident management skills.
• English proficiency at B2-C1; Czech/Polish at B1-B2.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for production incidents, ensuring rapid triage and resolution.
• Monitor health and performance of APIs and integrations, tracking latency and failures.
• Collaborate to implement observability, logging, and alerting best practices for API services.
• Build and maintain diagnostic tools, runbooks, and playbooks to improve incident response.
• Partner with governance and compliance to document incidents and drive improvements.
