Job summary

Verisk is seeking a driven General Ledger Revenue Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team in Krakow. You will collaborate with US and global accounting teams to provide high-quality service to Verisk business units and management.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in general ledger/OTC, a Master’s in accounting, English fluency, and strong ERP experience (Oracle). The role offers a hybrid model with 2–3 days in the office and opportunities to grow in a global organization.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience in the general ledger/OTC area.
  • Master’s degree in accounting or another relevant field.
  • Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience working with ERP systems, Oracle ERP would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (oral and written).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work independently.
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous and diligent.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, curiosity and resilience.
  • Team player with focus on common goals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process revenue journal entries received from Business Units.
  • Develop and maintain basic financial analyses by calculating and reporting key business metrics, including revenue growth rates, product and customer concentration percentages, forecast-to-actual performance ratios, and variance analyses to identify trends and support management reporting.
  • Review customer contracts and billing requirements to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition.
  • Maintain process documentation and support special projects and continuous improvement across the Order-to-Cash (OTC) process.
  • Actively participate in the monthly closing process, supporting revenue and balance sheet account analysis.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger/revenue in accordance with US GAAP, Corporate Accounting policies, internal SOX controls, and procedures.
  • Liaise with Business Units to complete and maintain appropriate documentation for all responsible SOX controls.
  • Support the audit process by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and auditing departments.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the general ledger function.
  • Participate in work transitions from various locations and support special projects and initiatives as needed.

Job Description

In this role, you will work alongside the Verisk Corporate Accounting teams in the US and globally to provide high-quality customer service to the Verisk business units and management team.
