Job summary

PwC Poland is seeking a PMO Manager with German to lead complex projects and establish PMO governance within a growing team. You will coordinate business, technology, and external partner workstreams and mentor colleagues across PwC’s Global network.

The role requires 7+ years in project leadership, experience with PMO functions, and fluency in English and German, with a hybrid work model and strong focus on delivering value to clients.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in managing complex projects, programmes or transformation initiatives.
• Experience in leading PMO functions, establishing project governance and working with external clients and senior stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models, with the ability to adapt project management approaches to business and delivery needs.
• Strong experience in project planning, budgeting, risk, change and stakeholder management.
• Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary business and technology teams.
• Leadership skills and the ability to build engagement and accountability within project teams.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations and management reports.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluency in English and German, practical knowledge of MS 365 and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence or MS Project.
• Proficiency in leveraging emerging technologies and AI-powered tools in daily work, including task automation, information analysis and content creation.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex business and technology projects and programmes from initiation to successful closure.
• Define project objectives, scope, delivery approach, governance structure and success criteria.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and the quality of delivered outcomes.
• Establish and develop PMO structures, project management standards, reporting frameworks and governance processes.
• Prepare project status reports, analyses and recommendations for senior stakeholders and steering committees.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams delivered by business, technology and external partner teams.
• Support clients in designing and implementing project, programme and portfolio management frameworks tailored to their organisational needs.
• Facilitate decision-making processes and ensure effective project communication and documentation.
• Adapt delivery methods and priorities to changing business and technology requirements.
• Lead project and PMO teams, building engagement, accountability and effective cooperation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and other teams across the PwC global network.
• Contribute to the development of the PMO offering, internal capabilities and business development activities.
• Support the professional development of team members through mentoring, knowledge sharing and coaching.
