Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist with German to own the German payroll cycle within the EMEA region. This role combines compliance, operations and automation to ensure flawless pay runs and accurate remuneration for employees in Germany.

You will work with payroll providers, HR stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive improvements, while also supporting payroll activities in other selected EMEA countries as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, HR, Finance, Economics or similar.
• Fluency in German and English, written and spoken.
• At least 3 years of payroll experience in the German framework.
• End-to-end German payroll processing experience; cross-country exposure is a plus.
• Experience with SAP and Employee Central; strong data integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Excel proficiency and ability to handle large datasets accurately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating end-to-end payroll processes for Germany with accurate remuneration delivery.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including the payroll provider.
• Responding to payroll queries from HR and employees with German regulations guidance.
• Administering local benefits and ensuring compliance with collective agreements.
• Driving continuous improvement, standardisation and automation initiatives.
• Participating in global/regional projects including system integration and transformation.
• Acting as back-up for end-to-end payroll in other EMEA countries when needed.
