Novo Nordisk Poland is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist with German to own the end-to-end German payroll process, ensuring accurate remuneration for employees and compliance across the EMEA region.

You will collaborate with payroll providers, drive continuous improvement, and support benefits administration while upholding data confidentiality in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, HR, Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Fluency in German and English, written and spoken.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in payroll within the German framework, preferably in a company bound by collective agreements.
  • Proven end-to-end German payroll processing experience, with exposure to payroll processing in other EMEA countries considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with external payroll providers and HRIS systems such as SAP and Employee Central.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and awareness of data sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate cultural differences across EMEA.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive change.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the end-to-end payroll processes for Germany, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of remuneration to employees
  • Cooperating closely with internal and external stakeholders, including our payroll provider, to resolve issues and maintain seamless operations
  • Responding to payroll queries escalated from HR and employees, providing expert guidance on German payroll regulations and practices
  • Administering local benefits where applicable and ensuring compliance with collective agreements
  • Driving continuous improvement and process optimisation, contributing to standardisation and automation initiatives
  • Actively participating in global and regional projects, including system integration and transformation initiatives
  • Acting as a back-up for end-to-end payroll processes in other assigned EMEA countries

Your new role

In this role, you will take full ownership of the German payroll cycle, acting as the subject matter expert for one of our most complex EMEA markets. You will work at the intersection of compliance, operational excellence and continuous improvement – ensuring every pay run is flawless while driving the automation and standardisation agenda forward.

Day-to-day Your Tasks Will Include

Salary:

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 93,840.00 to 173,600.00 PLN, corresponding to the level of the position.

The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
