Aryzta Europe Business Service Center in Wrocław is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage postings, analysis, and control of books and financial statements across the EMEA region. You will support audits and ensure correct application of accounting policies while driving standardization and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GL processes and accounting standards.
• Experience with SAP, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in a Shared Services environment and project management.
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS and local regulations.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English; additional languages beneficial.
• Process improvement mindset and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings for the assigned region.
• Apply advanced knowledge of accounting processes, systems and tools in daily operations.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
• Resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Contribute to transition and process improvement projects for the new BSC setup.
• Document processes and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with business units and headquarters to provide analysis for decision-making.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and address complex queries.
