Job summary

Bausch + Lomb in Warsaw is seeking a GL Accountant to join our Shared Service Center. You will ensure the integrity of the general ledger for North Europe (UK, Nordics, Poland), post journals, close monthly periods, and support financial reporting and audits.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, MA in accounting/finance, fluent English, and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or PeopleSoft.

Qualifications

• MA in accounting, finance or relevant field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English required.
• PeopleSoft as nice to have.
• SAP as nice to have.
• ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily input of financial data into the general ledger, ensuring entries are correct and substantiated.
• Adhere to internal control framework.
• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries.
• Carry out month-, quarter-, and year-end close procedures with accruals and adjustments.
• Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts during month-end close.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for reporting.
• Support the Record to Report process and management reporting.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax and Treasury to integrate data.
• Assist in audits with necessary GL data and reports.
• Develop and implement GL procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and process improvements.
