Job summary

Ricoh Business Services Poland in Gdańsk seeks a General Ledger Accountant to ensure reconciliations and group standards are met, delivering accurate financial reporting.

You will manage month-end close, intercompany balances, and journal corrections, while keeping internal controls and SOX compliance. You will support accounting activities from multiple OpCos, build strong internal relationships, and contribute to continuous process improvements in a dynamic shared services environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Accountant covering transactional and analytical responsibilities (GL/ RtR).
• Very good communication skills to maintain internal relationships.
• Fluency in English is essential; Knowledge of Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile inter-company trading accounts and balances and correct reporting.
• Carry out month end close processes for the General Ledger and posting of month end journals.
• Manage general reconciliation processes and ensure timely journal corrections.
• Ensure reconciliations are performed and recorded to meet month end deadlines.
• Support accounting activities from multiple OpCos.
• Adhere to Ricoh's core values and ensure internal controls including SOX.

Tasks

We are searching for a:

General Ledger Accountant

Who will ensure that all reconciliations and accounting procedures are performed to Group standards, ensuring that maximum customer satisfaction is achieved and service levels are met or exceeded for all customer requirements.

More importantly you will be responsible for the following:

• Reconcile and agree inter-company trading accounts and intercompany balances and correct reporting to Group.
• Carry out month end close processes for the General Ledger and posting of month end journals, ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
• Manage general Reconciliation processes, in particular ensuring that all reconciling items are identified and appropriate journal corrections are made in a timely basis.
• Ensure that all reconciliations are performed and recorded consistently according to guidelines and completed on time to ensure that month end deadlines are met.
• Make sure that all reconciliations are approved in accordance with Group procedures
• Ensure that any system errors are reported to the Competency Centre and are resolved in a timely manner.
• Ensure that performance is in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Supporting accounting activities from multiple Op Cos
• Adhere to Ricoh’s core values and deliver a high level of personal engagement.
• Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place including compliance with SOX and ensuring that internal and external audit requirements are met.

Requirements

What we are looking for in you:

Experience as an Accountant covering both transactional and analytical responsibilities (GL/ RtR)

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently
• Demonstrated high level of autonomy and accountability in day-to-day work
• Very good communication skills to maintain effective internal relationships
• Solid understanding of the entire accounting cycle
• Fluency in English is essential for this role
• Educational background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Knowledge of Oracle will be considered an additional asset
