Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Airflow/Cloud Composer to ensure reliable data delivery across analytics, BI, and product teams.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, and fluency in English and Polish. You will implement CI/CD for data pipelines and use Terraform for infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position handling production data
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery data modeling and Cloud Storage
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming)
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing and orchestration
• Experience with Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer for workflow orchestration
• Experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience handling large data volumes with focus on performance and reliability
• Fluent English communication; Polish language proficiency required for Poland location

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines based on Google Cloud Platform
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse: data modeling, queries and cost optimization
• Integrate data from various sources and process/transform it
• Orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure
• Manage cloud infrastructure following IaC approach (Terraform)
• Ensure data quality, monitor pipelines and respond to incidents
• Collaborate with analytics, BI and product teams to deliver stable data
• Contribute to data architecture development and define best practices in data engineering
