Job summary

Sii Poland's Data & Analytics team is seeking a Data Engineer to build scalable pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, primarily using BigQuery and Cloud Storage. You will design data models, optimize queries, and ensure reliability at scale.

You will collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams, implement CI/CD for data pipelines, and apply infrastructure as code with Terraform. Fluency in English and Polish is required in Poland.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a Data Engineer or similar production data role.
• Strong GCP knowledge, especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Design, build and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data processing.
• Experience with Airflow/Cloud Composer for workflows.
• CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience with large data volumes and performance.
• English fluent; Polish fluent in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Use BigQuery as data warehouse: model data, optimize queries and costs.
• Ingest data from files, databases, APIs, events and transform it.
• Orchestrate workflows with Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines and infra.
• Manage cloud infra using Terraform.
• Ensure data quality and monitor pipelines; respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics/BI/product teams to deliver stable data.
• Contribute to data architecture and best practices in data engineering.
