Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team, focusing on Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and data pipelines for scalable, reliable data solutions.

You will design and maintain batch and streaming pipelines, implement CI/CD for data workflows, and collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to ensure data quality and governance. Fluency in English and Polish is required.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position working with data in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery data modeling and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Python in data processing and orchestration.
• Experience in workflow orchestration (Airflow/Cloud Composer) and implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience handling large data volumes with focus on performance and reliability.
• Fluent English communication; Polish language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse: modeling, query and cost optimization.
• Integrate data from files, databases, APIs, and events; transform data accordingly.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure following an IaC approach (Terraform).
• Ensure data quality, monitor pipelines and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver well-documented data.
